SNY and the rest of the baseball world received great news on Monday, as analyst Ron Darling will return to the booth with Gary Cohen and Keith Hernandez on Tuesday night following his medical leave. Here's what Darling had to say...
With the MLB Draft last night, the Mets selected Texas high school 3B Brett Baty with the No. 12 overall pick. Mets VP of international and amateur scouting Tommy Tanous explained why the Mets decided to go with the 19-year-old.
SNY's Anthony McCarron was at the Draft in the MLB Network studios on Monday, and got a chance to talk to Baty's father, who was on hand to watch his son get drafted. He called it "a dad's dream" to hear his son's name called.
McCarron was also able to talk to Michael Conforto's former college coach in Pat Casey yesterday. He didn't just talk about his passion for baseball, but believes his competitive spirit and toughness actually comes from his football roots.
Mets fans are rallying today to send a message to Tom Brady, after it was learned he was trying to trademark "Tom Terrific." Guess you've never heard of Tom Seaver, huh Brady?
As the Mets head into June, they want to see more production out of Robinson Cano. And this one fix at the plate could turn his season around.
