Now Commenting On:

Ike Davis, fresh off his pinch-hit walk-off grand slam on Saturday, will start at first base on Sunday.

Despite naming Lucas Duda his starter, Terry Collins said that he was planning to start Davis on Sunday anyway.

"When I talked to him the other day, I said, ‘Listen, you’re going to play Sunday. So even though it may not be an everyday thing, you’re going to get playing time," Collins said (ESPN, April 6)

Duda hit two home runs on Friday night, then went 0-4 with three strikeouts on Saturday. Duda will likely start on Tuesday against the Braves' Aaron Harang.
