Now Commenting On:

Mets relief pitcher Carlos Torres gave up another home run Tuesday.

He has allowed six in the past 10 innings he has pitched, including each of his last four appearances.

"We talked about maybe seeing if he's tipping his pitches, because he's getting hit way too hard," Terry Collins said Tuesday.

In his eight appearances since July 19, Torres is 1-1 with a 9.00 ERA, during which he's let 17 men reach base in 10 innings.

Prior to July 19, he had a 2.88 ERA through 59 innings, but was testing a .359 BABIP.

Torres continues to have the most innings pitched among National League relief pitchers.
