The Mets would need to consider trading Jacob deGrom and/or Noah Syndergaard if they are not in contention in July, John Harper opines in Friday's New York Daily News.
Harper notes that with the Phillies and Braves potentially ahead of schedule with their rebuilds, the Mets would have to commit to a full rebuild of their own if they fall out of it.
DeGrom, 29, is under team control through the 2020 season.
Syndergaard 25, is under team control through the 2021 season.
