Now Commenting On:

Jacob deGrom threw for the first time since being scratched from his Tuesday start with shoulder soreness.

"Felt good," deGrom said. "Threw up to 90 feet and felt no problems with it. That’s good news."

DeGrom was placed on the disabled list with rotator cuff tendinitis on August 11, Assistant GM John Ricco announced.

Ricco said it was “good news” on deGrom, who was prescribed rest before throwing on Saturday. He was also prescribed anti-inflammatory medication.
