With a league-best 1.70 ERA and 269 strikeouts in 217 innings, deGrom became the first Mets pitcher since R.A. Dickey in 2012 to win the National League Cy Young award.
Though deGrom finished with fewer wins (10) than the Nationals' Max Scherzer (18), he ran away with the voting, finishing with 29 of 30 first-place votes.
