Juan Lagares and Amed Rosario combined for seven hits and five RBI to lead the Mets on a night when the offense generated 16 hits and scored 12 runs in a blowout win over the Blue Jays.
Lagares finished the night 4-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored, while Rosario had three hits, two RBI, and two runs scored.
Noah Syndergaard, who pitched five innings, got the Mets started on offense with an RBI double and later added a sacrifice fly.
Rosario followed Syndergaard's sacrifice fly in the fourth inning with an RBI double before Lagares drove in two more runs with an RBI hit later in the inning. Asdrubal Cabrera capped off the five-run inning fourth with a double to center field to bring home Lagares.
One inning later, Rosario and Lagares stayed hot with another pair of RBI singles. Brandon Nimmo also drove in his first run of the game when his RBI single plated Adrian Gonzalez.
With the Mets up 9-2 in the eighth, Luis Guillorme gave the Mets their 10th run with an RBI single before Devin Mesoraco, who walked three times in the game, hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning to pile onto the Mets' lead.
