Kelly Johnson has signed a one-year deal with the Atlanta Braves, according to Mark Bowman (Jan. 6).
Johnson came to the Mets, with Juan Uribe, from the Braves in a July 24 trade that sent minor leaguers John Gant and Robert Whalen to Atlanta.
In 49 games for the Mets, over 138 plate appearances, Johnson hit .250 with a .304 OBP and .414 SLG. He hit six doubles, five home runs and drove in 13.
Johnson had one hit in the playoffs over 10 plate appearances.
