Between Triple-A Buffalo and the Mets, Harvey has logged 146 innings.
Adam Rubin of ESPN New York says Harvey's limit is around 175 innings this season.
Harvey has averaged six innings per start so far with the Mets. If he continues that pace, that puts him on track to make another 4 - 5 starts this season, based on Rubin's figure of 175 innings. Harvey is also going to be pitching on the seventh day after his next start as off-days are in play September 6, 13, and 20 and the Mets are currently using a six-man rotation. And so, if Harvey stays on this pace, his last start projects to be on September 25 against the Pirates at Citi Field. He would effectively be missing just one start at the end of the year, and so it's not the end of the world to play it conservatively so to protect him going forward.
