Matt Harvey turned in a sharp outing on Sunday, allowing two runs and five hits in six innings against the Atlanta Braves at First Data Field.
Harvey, making his fifth Grapefruit League start, threw as hard as 97 miles per hour early on and regularly hit 95-96 miles per hour throughout the game. He also found success mixing in his off-speed pitches. He struck out four batters and walked one while his ERA to 5.89 for the spring.
"I couldn't be happier than where I am now and ready to start the season," Harvey said to reporters after the game, adding that he has felt better with each start he has made this spring.
After pitching 4 1/3 innings on Monday, Harvey's six-inning outing on Sunday marked his longest of the spring.
