LHP Steven Matz struggled in his second spring training start, but Todd Frazier and Jay Bruce each homered for the Mets in a 7-3 loss to the Nationals in Port St. Lucie on Sunday.

1) LHP Steven Matz was unable to complete an inning in his second outing of the spring, allowing five runs while recording just two outs.
2) Bruce put the Mets on the board with a solo homer in the first and Frazier hit a line-drive homer to left in the fourth inning.
3) Corey Taylor pitched 1 and 1/3 scoreless innings; Gerson Bautista and Jerry Blevins eache allowed one run on two hits, and Matt Purke tossed a scoreless inning. PJ Conlon pitched 3 scoreless innings to finish the game for New York.
