The Mets recalled Mike Baxter from Triple-A Las Vegas, and is available for Saturday's game.
Baxter hit .275 with five home runs and 15 RBI in 42 games with Triple-A Las Vegas after being demoted by the Mets in early June.
Baxter hit just .212 with four RBI in 47 games with the Mets before being demoted to the minor leagues.
5:15 PM: Terry Collins told reporters after today's loss he expects Wright to miss 3-5 weeks.
12:10 PM: This seems like an ideal opportunity to take a look at Wilmer Flores at the big league level, but the team clearly doesn't see it that way. They could have recalled Flores and either put him at second base and moved Daniel Murphy to third, or had Flores play third - his natural position - and leave Murphy at second. I know there is still a lot of concern about Flores' defense in the organization, and they feel he still has work to do defensively before being called up. But, the Mets are going to have to take a look at him at some point before the season is out and determine how those defensive skills translate at the big league level, for better or for worse. This would have given them a nice, long look at Flores, versus simply looking at him when rosters expand next month...
