The Mets added more depth to their bullpen, signing veteran LHP Justin Wilson.
SNY's Andy Martino reports the deal is worth $5 million per season over two years, pending a physical. Wilson made $4.25 million with the Cubs last season.
Wilson is the lefty reliever the Mets have been searching for to round out their pen. They also have LHP Hector Santiago and LHP Luis Avilan coming to Spring Training as well.
Wilson, though, has a better track record than his counterparts. Last season, he owned a 3.46 ERA over 54.2 innings (71 appearances), striking out 69 batters compared to 33 walks. Over his seven-year career, Wilson has posted a 3.33 ERA in 412 games.
