The Las Vegas 51's and the Mets announced that Wally Backman will return as their Triple-A Manager in 2013.

Backman will be joined by Randy St. Claire as his pitching coach and George Greer as his hitting coach.

"We're excited to have such a skilled and experienced staff leading the 51s in our inaugural season, as we expect to have some of the most talented players in our player development system in Las Vegas," Mets Vice President, Player Development & Amateur Scouting Paul DePodesta said in a statement.

Backman, 53, went 67-76 in his inaugural Triple-A season in 2012. Backman's ten year minor league managerial record is 601-564 with the White Sox, Diamondbacks and Mets organizations.
