Every Sunday, we'll be taking a look at how notable Mets prospects are faring in the Arizona Fall League. The AFL features some of the best prospects in baseball and its regular season runs through Nov. 15. The Championship Game is Nov. 17.
Peter Alonso, 1B
The 23-year-old Alonso, the No. 58 prospect in baseball according to MLB.com, has played four games and is hitting .500 with one homer and one double -- good for a 1.306 OPS in 16 at-bats.
Andres Gimenez, SS
The 19-year-old Gimenez -- the No. 55 prospect in baseball according to MLB.com -- homered this past Wednesday in what has so far been his only start of the AFL. He drew a walk during his only plate appearance on Thursday.
Desmond Lindsay, OF
Lindsay, the Mets' second-round pick in the 2015 MLB Draft, had a disappointing minor league season in 2018, hitting just .223/.317/.325 with three homers in 314 at-bats mainly with High-A St. Lucie. But the 21-year-old began the AFL in style, hitting two homers on Friday (while debuting a new swing) in what has been his only game played so far.

Gerson Bautista, RHP
Bautista, 23, has tossed 3.0 innings in two games, allowing one run on two hits while walking two and striking out two.
