Who is starting for the Mets?
LHP Steven Matz, who was solid against the Nationals in his last outing. His pitch count was high at 103 pitches over five innings, but he didn't allow a run and only two hits. Matz' control was there with his fastball early and that set up the rest of his pitches. He'll look to continue that trend against a better Braves lineup.
Who is starting for the Braves?
RHP Kevin Gausman, who was lights out in his first start of 2019 against the Marlins on April 5. He allowed just two hits and no runs in seven innings while striking out seven and walking two over 88 pitches.
This is just the start to the Mets' series with the Braves. They'll play again on Friday at 7:20 p.m.
