Mets fan Callie Quinn needed 500,000 retweets to be able to take prom pictures on Citi Field, and after she knocked that number out of the park, she got to live her wish on Friday.
Quinn, who received a Promposal with Mr. Met traveling to her high school on Staten Island in January, arrived at Citi Field flaunting a blue dress with orange lacing in the back showing her loyalty to the Mets' colors.
She wore white shoes with baseball stitching as well.
And not only did Quinn get to take pictures with the Citi Field backdrop, but she was able to meet a few players as well. Mets reliever Jerry Blevins decided to show her his best dance moves in their encounter.
#CallieMetsProm and what's a prom without a dance? @jerryblevins gets the honor with @callieshayeeex3 ... and what could be more @Mets than the jets from LaGuardia overhead? pic.twitter.com/A8C1WrbB2H- Greg Tartaglia (@NJTags13) May 18, 2018
Quinn went into the challenge not knowing what to expect, and admitted the half-million retweets made her skeptical. That is until she began seeing the support from the Mets faithful.
"I didn't really think about it, but when I sat down and thought about, I was like, 'That's super high,' Quinn said about the retweets. "But when I got to like 300,000K I was like, 'Alright I might make it.' Then 400,000K I knew I would get there."
Other Mets players including Noah Syndergaard and Todd Frazier as well as manager Mickey Callaway made their way over to Quinn picture and chat.
#CalliesMetsProm just 1 more, since we're all about NJ and Jersey guy @FlavaFraz21 stopped by for pics with @callieshayeeex3 ... Callie said she "had to" hate him when he was on the other NY team but secretly liked him all along pic.twitter.com/V12MA1RiTR- Greg Tartaglia (@NJTags13) May 18, 2018
