Mets OF Brandon Nimmo left Sunday's game against the Dodgers in the sixth inning after being hit in the pinky by a pitch in the fifth inning.
X-rays came back negative, but manager Mickey Callaway said Nimmo will undergo an MRI on Monday.
"As of right now, I'm hopeful that I won't have to take any, if at all, time off," Nimmo told reporters after Sunday's 8-7 loss.
Nimmo ran the bases in the bottom of the fifth, scoring on Asdrubal Cabrera's two-run home run, and played in the outfield in the top of the sixth inning but was replaced by Michael Conforto in the bottom of the inning.
Nimmo was 0-for-1 with two HBP and two runs before exiting.
