The Mets are not done shaking things up in their front office and scouting department, with Matt Ehalt of Yahoo reporting Friday that Ruben Amaro Jr. will not be retained for the 2020 season.

SNY's Andy Martino notes that the split between the Mets and Amaro is an amicable one, as Amaro was offered to keep his same role but chose instead to pursue other opportunities.

Before the season, the Mets transitioned Amaro from first base coach to a front office role, where he served as a special assistant to GM Brodie Van Wagenen.

Earlier this season, when the Mets were still deciding whether to buy or sell at the trade deadline, the team dispatched Amaro to scout the Brewers, who were interested in trading for Noah Syndergaard and Zack Wheeler

The Amaro news comes on the heels of the Mets deciding to part ways with their director of pro scouting Jim D'Aloia and three other scouts.

The Mets parted ways with D'Aloia on Wednesday, and parted ways with scouts Tim Kissner, Tim Fortugno, and Lee MacPhail on Thursday, according to SNY's Andy Martino.

D'Aloia won't be dismissed immediately, remaining with the Mets through the end of his contract at the end of October, per The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal. Like D'Aloia, Kissner, Fortugno, and MacPhail will finish out their contracts, but they will not be renewed, per Martino.
