Mets RHP Drew Gagnon allowed six runs on seven hits in 4 2/3 innings against the Phillies on Tuesday in his Major League debut.
In the second inning, he allowed a single and then hit a batter before Maikel Franco took him deep for a three-run homer. Nick Williams hit a two-run single an inning later and Odubel Herrera added a solo home run in the fifth inning.
Gagnon walked one batter, struck out three, and threw 81 pitches.
On offense, Gagnon drove in the Mets' first run of the game in the third inning when he hit a sarifice fly to center field.
Gagnon had a 4.67 ERA/5.10 FIP in 17 Minor League starts this season before he was called up.
