The Mets have announced they signed RHP Neil Wagner to a minor league contract, and acquired OF Travis Snider.
Per Newsday's Marc Carig, the Mets sent cash to the Rangers for Snider. He last played in the majors in 2015 with the Orioles.
Snider's last full season was in 2014 as he hit .264 with 13 homers and 38 RBI for the Pirates.
This season, Snider spent time with the Rangers' Triple-A Round Rock where he hit .294 with nine home runs and 44 RBI.
Wagner has had limited time in the majors in his career. His last appearance came with the Blue Jays in 2014 where he appeared in 10 games as a reliever. He is 2-4 with a 4.92 ERA in 52 career games.
The 33-year-old has played with the Rays' Triple-A Durham for the past two seasons. He owns a 3.07 ERA in 32 appearances (one start) this season.
Both players have been assigned to Triple-A Las Vegas.
