2012 first-round draft pick Gavin Cecchini did not run out a ground ball during the sixth inning this past Sunday, while playing for Low-A Savannah.
He was removed the game.
Cecchini, 20, is batting .500 with a .531 OBP, three doubles and a triple during his last seven games.
The results have started to come for Cecchini, in part because he has engaged with the process, but also because he’s buying in to the organization’s approach to hitting and base running.
