The Mets will give pitching coach Dan Warthen a two-year deal, according to Andy Martino of the New York Daily News.

It's a "strong vote of confidence in Warthen," Martino said.

The other coaching on Terry Collins' staff -- bench coach Bob Geren, first base coach Tom Goodwin, third base coach Tim Teufel and hitting coach Dave Hudgens -- will all receive one-year deals.

Warthen has been with the team since 2008.

It's been said time and time again how much the pitching staff loves working with Warthen, and a two-year commitment speaks to those relationships. And, many of them - including those which have departed - have grown under his watch as well. They feel he's approachable, and he relates well to each individual. There’s also value in his knowledge of these young pitchers – to maintain that continuity is important, and that knowledge would be difficult to replace with someone else.
