The Mets will have a tribute video for Matt Harvey on Monday night at 7 p.m., before Harvey's Reds open a three-game set at Citi Field.
Harvey, who was traded to Cincinnati earlier this season for Devin Mesoraco, has a 4.79 ERA (4.81 FIP) and 1.27 WHIP with 57 strikeouts in 77 innings (15 starts) since the trade.
He had a 7.00 ERA (5.68 FIP) and 1.55 WHIP with 20 strikeouts in 27 innings (four starts, four relief appearances) earlier this season for the Mets.
The 29-year-old Harvey, who debuted with the Mets in 2012 and was one of the best pitchers in baseball from then through the end of 2015, struggled with injury and ineffectiveness in 2016 and 2017.
The Reds attempted to trade Harvey in July, and there is a possibility he will be dealt through waivers at some point in August.
