Who is starting today for the Mets?
RHP Jacob deGrom (1.57 ERA/2.08 FIP, 1.01 WHIP in 80.1 innings over 13 starts), who took his first loss of the season in his last start against the Yankees over the weekend. He allowed three runs, two earned on four hits while striking out eight and walking two over eight innings.
DeGrom has allowed one run or less in eight of his last nine starts. He set a franchise record with eight straight starts allowing one or fewer runs that spans back to April 21. ... DeGrom leads the NL with a 1.57 ERA, which is also good for second in the entire MLB. Since that April 21 date, he leads with majors with a 0.81 ERA after allowing just five earned runs over 55.1 innings pitched.
DeGrom owns a 1.37 ERA over four starts during the day this season.

Who is starting today for the Braves?
RHP Mike Soroka (3.68 ERA/2.76 FIP, 1.70 WHIP in 14.2 innings over three starts), who earned a no-decision in his last start against the Marlins. Soroka's defense was not helping him out as he allowed five runs, but only one was earned. He also struck out seven and walked one over 4.2 innings.
Soroka earned the win in his major league debut against the Mets at Citi Field on May 1, where he allowed just a solo homer over six innings.
