Happy New Year, fellow Mets fans! You know that saying "new year, new me?" Well, unfortunately our team is not living the "new year, new team" life yet.
There was some happy Mets family news, though -- Jerry Blevins is going to be a father!

Naturally, someone had to tweet what all of us Seinfeld fans were thinking, and that person was Josh Smoker.
Someone also asked Blevins "how he did it." To which, Blevins had the simple, perfect response.

Meanwhile, the most popular Mets minor leaguer, Tim Tebow, was briefly featured on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve for his work giving back to the New Orleans community. He was solely referred to as a former college football player -- the Mets were not mentioned.

Keith Hernandez spent New Year's Eve, well, I'll just leave this here.
Noah Syndergaard clarified that he will not be following in Curtis Granderson's footsteps and leaving us all for the warmer weather.
