It was a very Mets thanksgiving this week. As Mets fans were thankful for the fact that the 2017 season is in the rearview and better times are ahead, Mets players showed their gratitude as well.
To no one's surprise, Noah Syndergaard gave a special shout-out to Mrs. Met.
Thor did, however, also spend time on Thanksgiving feeding the homeless at The Bowery Mission, a nonprofit that has been serving homeless and hungry New Yorkers since 1879.
It was so great having @Noahsyndergaard of the @Mets serving #Thanksgiving meals with us yesterday! Thank you! #ThanksgivingAtTheMission #NewYorkNeighbors- The Bowery Mission (@BoweryMission) November 24, 2017

Wilmer Flores also got into the spirit of giving back. Alongside other volunteers, Flores gave out turkeys to families in the five boroughs.

And another reason to love Wimer. Stay perfect, Flo! https://t.co/KwY0drHQ5Y pic.twitter.com/FbbRArWC7l
Speaking of turkey, AJ Ramos enjoyed a turkey leg and had a bit of fun with a social media promo.
Jerry Blevins had a special thank you to his new top ten list partner in crime…
And, in case you have no idea what I'm talking about in terms of top ten lists, Syndergaard took Blevins' newfound love of list-ranking one step further, asking him to rank cereal brands. Of course, Blevins had a hysterical response...

In other off the field news, Seth Lugo rocked a handlebar moustache, and we're all hoping it simply was just the photo and is not here to stay.

Kevin McGowan has upped his Twitter game, making fans laugh along the way. Just look at this response to Blevins:
Never too late to get your first tat. Just sayin'. And I'm obviously talking about it being Conforto- Kevin McGowan Jr (@kevinmcgowanjr) November 24, 2017
Matt Harvey was enjoying a neighborhood party with his parents and casually bumped into one of the stars from Stranger Things.
Now that we're officially in the holiday season, these next few weekly adventures will likely continue to take a more festive spin, like Asdrubal Cabrera already putting up his gigantic Christmas tree.
And finally, I'll just leave this here -- this Syndergaard tweet that has over 30K RT's and over 140K likes.
Sports Illustrated called and said I was probably going to be Sportsman of the Year, but it was going to take a long photo shoot and interview. I'm not proud of my recent perm and have a interpretive dance class at the interview time so I turned it down! No Thanks SI!!- Noah Syndergaard (@Noahsyndergaard) November 25, 2017
Stay tuned as we attempt to stay entertained this offseason, while waiting for more moves to be made.
