Sandy Alderson recently told WFAN that the outfield will be a competition between Granderson, Lagares and both Youngs, with offensive production eventually dictating the final three.
Young says he appreciated Alderson making an early trip to visit with him this past off-season, during which he was not promised any specific position, though he would likely get a certain number of at bats.
"The main goal is to to get at bats and win ball games, after that everything else falls in to place," Chris Young recently told MetsBlog's Robert Brender. "You just have to be ready to compete, where ever they put you out there."
