Earlier this week in Minnesota, 23-year-old Mets C prospect Kevin Plawecki represented the Mets during MLB's Futures Game, during which he drove in the game’s first run with an RBI force out in the third inning...

In late June, he was promoted to Triple-A, where he's hitting just .231 in 15 games.

"Obviously it’s in the back of my mind," Plawecki told MetsBlog's Robert Brender, in regards to being a step from the big leagues. That said, he added, "I’ve still got some adjustments to make and still have a lot to learn."

According to Plawecki, if he continues to work hard and stays focused and positive the results will take care of themselves.
