Mike Piazza may again fall short of the Hall of Fame, if publicly posted ballots are any indication of the final vote...

According to Baseball Think Factory, which has been tallying votes posted online by BBWAA voters, Piazza has just 71.9 percent of the vote (with just 17 percent of votes counted). He'll need 75 percent to get in to the Hall of Fame. He received 57.9% support last year.

“I was a little disappointed, I can’t lie about that," Piazza said after last year's vote. "To keep it in historical perspective as well, there were a lot of great players that didn’t get [in] on the first ballot. … I’m very proud of my career. If you look at my entire body of work, I’d put it up against any catcher that’s played the position."
