Now Commenting On:

The Mets did pop-up drills today, practicing calling for fly balls from a pitching machine launched around the infield and outfield.

Josh Satin stood at first base today with Lucas Duda and Ike Davis, while Omar Quintanilla backed up second and Anthony Seratelli worked with Ruben Tejada at shortstop.

In one scenario, a ball went up way high and shallow, estimated to land between the pitcher's mound and home plate. Daniel Murphy charged hard, his hat flew off and he yelled, "I got it, I got it, I got it, I think," which would make for a great title to someone's autobiography.
