Yesterday, Tim Byrdak threw his daily bullpen session from a new arm slot, dropping down to a near-sidearm angle, according to Anthony DiComo of

According to DiComo, because Byrdak's arm slot tends to creep up during the spring, the left-hander "is starting lower than ever so that when his arm angle does begin elevating, it will not creep up to an extreme overhand slot."

"I know it's going to go up," Byrdak said, according to DiComo. "So if I go a little bit lower and I come up, I'm right where I want to be."
