Brandon Nimmo saw two hand specialists and the MRI on his left hand came back clean, Mets managery Mickey Callaway said before Friday's game.
Nimmo is day-to-day.
Nimmo was hit by a pitch while attempting to check his swing in the third inning against the Phillies in Game 1 of Thursday's doubleheader, fell to the ground immediately, and exited the game after standing up. X-rays came back negative, and he pinch-ran during Game 2 of the doubleheader.
Prior to the at-bat where he was injured, Nimmo had reached base in 10 consecutive plate appearances.
Nimmo, who had five hits on Wednesday night while reaching base six times, is hitting .263/.387/.503 with 15 homers, 21 doubles, eight triples, and eight stolen bases in 109 games this season.
