Matthew Cerrone: The buzz in baseball is that Seattle is going to acquire another outfielder, be it Melky Cabrera or in a trade with the Dodgers, etc., so this reads like a smokescreen to me. Instead, I bet they keep Miller at shortstop, bring in an outfielder and look to trade Taylor. The question is, will they take a pitcher from the Mets? People close to Seattle say "they might," but it'll take the Mariners making other moves and exploring other options before it can happen...
