The Philadelphia Phillies reportedly agreed to a multi-year deal with free-agent RHP Jake Arrieta, according to NBC Sports' Jim Salisbury.
Arrieta's contract, according to USA Today's Bob Nightengale, is worth $75 million over three years.
Arrieta, entering his third season removed from winning the NL Cy Young Award, went 14-10 with a 3.53 ERA in 30 starts with the Cubs last season. Over the past three years, he has gone 54-24 with a 2.71 ERA in 94 starts.
In his career against the Mets, the 32-year-old Arrieta is 2-2 with a 2.30 ERA in seven starts.
Arrieta joins a Phillies rotation that ranked 21st in the majors last year with a 4.80 rotation ERA in 2017.
