The Mets beat the Cardinals, 4-1, on Wednesday, as Marcus Stroman threw 3.0 scoreless innings and Jeff McNeil went 2-for-3 with a double and run scored. Amed Rosario and Robinson Cano will start as the middle infielders, with Dominic Smith playing first base and Luis Guillorme at third base. Pete Alonso will be the DH after going 1-for-3 on Wednesday.

Porcello pitched two scoreless innings on Feb. 27 against the Marlins, as the 31-year-old has three strikeouts and a 3.00 ERA in two starts this spring.

RHP Adam Wainwright is starting his third game of spring training. He allowed one earned run on four hits and struck out two over 3.0 IP in his last outing on Feb. 28 against the Mets.
The Mets travel to West Balm Beach, Fla. on Friday to face the Houston Astros at 6:05 PM.
RHP Michael Wacha will get the start for the Mets, and go up against RHP Lance McCullers Jr. for the Astros.
