Mets top prospect SS Amed Rosario posted on Twitter saying he is ready for his Mets debut.
The post, which has since been deleted, came before Mets GM Sandy Alderson said, "circumstances have to be right" to call up Rosario. He was also referencing 1B Dominic Smith as well.
Rosario is the best prospect in baseball, according to ESPN's Keith Law. He was also ranked No. 1 by Law on his list at the beginning of the season.
"Rosario remains on top as he rots in Triple-A," Law writes, "and he'll be there until Godot shows up to call him to the majors, I guess, even with the Mets getting a composit .240/.313/.409 line from the shortstops along with below-average defense."
Alderson referred to current SS Jose Reyes' production saying his OPS has been "over 1,000" since taking over at the position.
The 21-year-old Rosario is hitting .327 with seven homers, 16 doubles, seven triples, 16 stolen bases, 55 runs scored, and 52 runs in 83 games with Triple-A Las Vegas.
