Sandy Alderson told Jim Duquette on SiriusXM Radio this morning he remains pleased with the job Terry Collins has done this season.

"He's done an excellent job with the resources he's had,very pleased with what he's done," Alderson told Bowden.

Alderson said the team will maintain it's course and not make a final decision on whether or not to retain Collins until after the end of the regular season.

In regards to his off-season plans, Alderson insisted he has money to spend in free agency and will seek improvements in that market throughout the winter.

Alderson said that in light of the injury to Matt Harvey, he will pursue a veteran starting pitcher this winter, regardless of whether or not Harvey elects Tommy John Surgery.

Lastly, Alderson said they remain intent on acquiring offense in free agency this winter.
