The Mets' key trade deadline piece is feeling healthy and ready to return to the rotation.

According to major league sources, Zack Wheeler came through a Sunday bullpen session well and was feeling good on Monday. He is set to rejoin the rotation either Friday or Saturday against the Pirates this weekend.

Wheeler's brief stint on the injured list with right shoulder fatigue did impact his trade value. Several interested GMs expressed private concern about the issue.

With a strong start upon his return, Wheeler can re-establish some of that value in time for the July 31 deadline.
