Mets RHP Noah Syndergaard allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits while walking three and striking out five in 4.2 innings against the Astros on Tuesday in Port St. Lucie.
Syndergaard likely would've escaped the outing unscored upon, but Jose Reyes made an error on a probable double-play ball in the third inning that led to two runs.
After the game, Syndergaard said one of his main focuses has been his mental approach with runners on base.
"Do less," he said. "I don't know if you've ever seen the movie 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall.' I try to 'do less' with runners on base."
Syndergaard is on track to make two more Grapefruit League starts, and will likely be the Mets' starter on Opening Day against the Cardinals on March 29 at Citi Field.
