Now Commenting On:

Mets RHP prospect Noah Syndergaard allowed one hit, but no runs, while striking out one batter, earning a save in the US Team's 3-2 victory over the World Team at the 2014 Futures Game on Sunday.

“Hopefully, next year I will be in the All-Star Game," said Syndergaard, who also played in last year's Future's Game. (NY Post, July 14). "This isn’t bad, but it’s not where I want to be. ... When the Mets feel like I’m ready, then hopefully I get that call.’’

Mets C prospect Kevin Plawecki drove in the game's first run with an RBI force out in the third inning. He lined out to lead off the bottom of the fifth inning in his second at bat to go 0-for-2.

Syndergaard and Plawecki talk about playing in this season's All-Star Futures Game...
