Noah Syndergaard threw live batting on Saturday in Port St. Lucie. Mets manager Terry Collins said on Sunday that Syndergaard is expected to throw batting practice again on Wednesday.
Syndergaard has been on the DL with a torn lat since the beginning of the season.
Mets starter RHP Matt Harvey pitched four and 2/3 innings for Double-A Binghamton on Saturday in his latest rehab start.
Collins said on Sunday that he hopes Harvey's next start is with the Mets.
Harvey, who threw 72 pitches Saturday, allowed three runs on five hits in four and 2/3 innings. He walked one, struck out two, and hit a batter. The 28-year-old has been on the DL since June 15 with a stress injury in his right scapula.
Yoenis Cespedes and Michael Conforto will both be examined in New York on Monday, the team announced.
Conforto suffered a dislocated left shoulder earlier in the week and is out for the remainder of the season, while Cespedes was placed on the disabled list with a right hamstring strain.
T.J. Rivera is currently in Port St. Lucie rehabbing his right arm. He was placed on the DL with a partial UCL tear in his right arm. .
Seth Lugo threw a bullpen on Friday and is starting Sunday in game two of a doubleheader against the Nationals. Lugo has been on the DL retroactive Aug. 12 with right shoulder impingement.
