Matt Harvey's name has been circulating in the rumor mill lately, and that was the case again on Tuesday.

MLB Network's Jon Heyman reports that teams in both Korea and Japan are looking at potentially signing the right-hander.

Reports circulated on Friday that Harvey was among three former All-Stars who has expressed interest in playing in Korea, but a possible move to Japan to play had not been previously reported, with the New York Post reporting that KBO teams have been in touch with the former Met's agent.

Meawhile, WFAN's Boomer Esiason reported on Monday that Harvey has reached out to the Mets about a possible reunion and that the Mets might consider it, though SNY Insider Andy Martino has previously reported that any such reunion is not very likely to happen.

The former seventh overall pick by the Mets in 2010 last pitched in the majors with the Los Angeles Angels in 2019. He struggled mightily, though, pitching to 7.09 ERA in 12 starts before being released in July. He was later signed by the Oakland A's on a minor-league deal, but he didn't make it back to the bigs before the season ended.

Harvey, who pitched to a 3.66 ERA with a 1.192 WHIP in parts of six seasons with the Mets, saw his career in New York flame out following Tommy John surgery in 2013 and thoracic outlet surgery in 2016.

But he's made it clear that he still wants to pitch in the majors, and perhaps a brief stint in Korea or Japan could be the stepping stone to make that happen.
