"Ruben and I have had a number of discussions in the last two weeks," Collins told reporters today. "He reassured me he’ll be ready and he’ll be the same guy I’ve seen in the past during the season."

Last week on WFAN, Sandy Alderson refuted reports that management had discussions about sending Tejada to Triple-A in favor of Omar Quintanilla.
