Now Commenting On:

After tonight's 6-2 win over the Pirates, Terry Collins talked to reporters and had the following to say about:

[sny-box color="fff"]

Ike Davis, who hit his twenty-ninth and thirtieth home runs and drove in five runs:

"I applaud that he didn't give up, that he stuck with his plan and I truly believe in the fact that we stuck with him..Ike has told me you won't see that first half again from me...We continue to talk about people we don't have and things we don't have. We got it. We just have to get it out of them...As we sit down at the end of the year, you have to look at Ike Davis and say he's legit."

Jenrry Mejia, who earned his first career Major League win and how he rates his performance tonight:

"I think the fourth inning is an indication of how it saved him. He had an easy inning. He had a seven or eight pitch inning which is what he's got to do. His stuff is above the charts."[/sny-box]
