Matt Harvey, who allowed one run and one hit in seven innings pitched in his final start of the season:
"With this being his last start, I wish we had gotten a win for him. Matt Harvey oughta spend the winter feeling pretty good about himself and the way he's handled everything up here and the way he's pitched. I thought tonight, the way the game started, he does what he always does and that's reach inside and compete...He's had an outstanding year and should be proud of himself."
Harvey pitching in the middle of the rotation to possibly being an ace:
"There were two or three times tonight where he got ahead of some guys and he's pitching at ninety-five and the next is ninety-eight in the seventh inning. That tells you those kind of guys can reach back in big situations. They're special. You don't see that very often."
Josh Edgin, who let up a two-run home run to Ryan Howard in the ninth:
"We are in this stage of looking at our young players...If Josh Edgin is going to pitch in this league, he's got to get one of those two guys out. That's what he's in the game for. He made a mistake and left it in the middle of the plate and at this level you're going to run into trouble. The more he's up here and the more he pitches, the more he's going to learn that and get better at it."[/sny-box]
