Now Commenting On:

According to previous reports, Mets SS Ruben Tejada was told last week that he had lost his starting shortstop job to Wilmer Flores, who had been promoted from Triple-A Las Vegas.

Flores got sick and couldn't play Sunday. Tejada took over again and has a hit in all three games he has played in place of Flores.

He delivered a bases-loaded walk-off single against the Phillies on Sunday and had a hit and a walk and scored two runs Tuesday against the Yankees.

Despite Tejada's recent success, Terry Collins said Flores is 100 percent and will start Wednesday at Citi Field.
