Jacob deGrom, Luis Mateo, Alex Panteliodis, Hansel Robles, Noah Syndergaard, Domingo Tapia ... Michael Fulmer (DL)
That's a lot of fastball. The timing could work out nicely for the Mets here with respect to Michael Fulmer, who will be coming back from meniscus surgery. In the last two years, the team has aimed for a dozen starts at a level before promoting a pitcher. Jacob deGrom made six starts in adcanced-A in 2012, and may well be right at six more, and a dozen total and ready for a promotion when Fulmer is ready to return.
This pitching staff could carry this team for the first few months. I had planned on waiting to see this team until late June or early July when I could combine it with a look at the GCL team. I might not want to wait that long to see all of these arms.
