Looky what we have here.
The Mets have gone Back To The Future by drafting Cal State Fullerton RHP Tommy Wilson -- the son of Thomas F. Wilson, who played Biff Tannen in the Back To The Future trilogy.
Congratulations to my son Tommy, drafted by the NEW YORK METS!! This is a recent photo, because I swear I took it yesterday. pic.twitter.com/sCqIT6LWVJ- Tom Wilson (@TomWilsonUSA) June 6, 2018
The younger Wilson is the spitting image of his dad. And really, with the way the Tannen men looked almost identical to one another, should we be surprised? Think, McFly! Think!

He's your winning pitcher tonight, going 5.0 innings in relief, allowing just 1 (❗) hot and fanning 9 (‼️) batters....oh, and what's up @mberryhill21 #TusksUp pic.twitter.com/BIUMTNmgrj
The 22-year-old Wilson, who the Mets picked in the 19th round, had a 2.83 ERA with 78 strikeouts in 82.2 innings this season.
It's just too bad Gray's Sports Almanac only kept stats through 2015. If not, we could have looked ahead to see how Wilson's Mets career was going to play out.
Now we're gonna make like a tree, and get outta here.
