On Tuesday night, MLB Pipeline released its new list of the top 100 prospects in baseball.
Three Mets made the updated list: SS Andres Gimenez (#59), SS Ronny Mauricio (#83), and LHP Anthony Kay (#96).
Gimenez was the only Met on last year's edition of the Top 100 list, falling from number 55 to number 59 on this year's list. Mauricio and Kay are appearing on the list for the first time.
Gimenez, a 5-foot-11 shortstop, is currently playing at Double-A Binghamton, hitting .232 with two home runs.
Mauricio, a 6-foot-3 shortstop currently playing for Single-A Columbia, is hitting .290 with a pair of home runs
Kay, the Mets' top pitching prospect, recently made his debut at Triple-A Syracuse, taking a loss after allowing five runs in four innings of work.
Also of note to the Mets, OF Jarred Kelenic, the key piece of the trade that brought Robinson Cano and Edwin Diaz to New York, has risen up the charts from 38 to 25 on the latest edition. Kelenic has hit .316 this season in the California League and South Atlantic League.
